His work melds the sensibility of the Heavy Metal style with the expressiveness of anime, and his artwork of the female form combines the innocence of youth with a provocative sensuality. The Shunya Yamashita Character Series: Nasuka statue takes one of his original character works, and casts it as a 9 1/2" tall statue. Nasuka, dressed in steampunk gear, wraps herself around her sword, and she is affixed to a display stand to suspend her in air.
