The Haunted Tower Novel

An English novel of A Woman in Grey written by Alice M. Williamson with the adaptation rewritten by Ranpo Edogawa brought to life by Hayao Miyazaki.

A young man, Mitsuo Kitagawa, fascinated of an English style mansion and a hidden clock tower ventured inward to find a mysterious lady Akiko Nozue, who holds the secret to the mansion's past that is rumored to be haunted.

As a young man, Miyazaki was fascinated with the story of A Woman in Grey and incorporated some of the story plots into his first movie Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro. With his fascination of the story, he and Edogawa written this novel for all to read with Miyazaki's storytelling twist. Besides the story, it also features a short comic of the story drawn by Miyazaki himself.
